We are still reeling from the September Black Festival, trying to understand everything that happened, and no text will be able to truly express what our black hearts feel, what we saw, heard, and experienced. Saturday and Sunday were sold out, and on Friday the venue was packed, almost selling out. This year we opted for two stages, providing an almost uninterrupted sonic marathon. We understand that it will never be possible to please everyone, and to the posers and haters, you have the right to organize your own events or not attend future events organized by Tumba.

The Infernal Stage provided the opportunity to see brutal performances from numerous bands in a smaller space, face to face, bringing back the primal essence of the underground that we all claim to live. All the bands that played there are important to the history of Metal and the festival itself. The festival was a celebration of the underground, the place where Metal truly originated and continues to shape headbangers, and therefore we don’t understand the complaints, especially since the reality of Metal worldwide is small venues. Do you believe in celebrating the underground in a stadium? The stage was professionally designed to address a number of issues relevant to the festival’s dynamics without disrespecting any bands or audience.

To the true headbangers, and to those who didn’t like it but don’t think it’s necessary to turn it into a problem, thank you very much for your presence and support. We would like to thank everyone who worked during the festival to ensure everything ran as smoothly as possible, and to you who came from various cities in Brazil and abroad, converging on São Paulo and making the city one of the epicenters of the global underground Metal scene last weekend. Your unconditional support was, is, and always will be fundamental. In short, all we can say is that we are proud to be headbangers, to live the true Metal life, and to stand by your side in these battles.
